Shape the Research
Suggest a Brief
If a UK policy debate is being driven by misused or misrepresented data — on any side — we want to cover it.
What makes a good suggestion
- A specific claim in active circulation — on social media, in broadcast media, or in political debate
- A topic where official data exists but is being selectively used or misread
- Something that cuts against the standard narrative on either side
- A question the public genuinely wants answered
What we cover
Any UK policy area where the public debate is shaped more by selective data than honest numbers. We do not take political sides — our briefs have been equally inconvenient for the left and the right.
What we don't cover
Opinion, ideology, or claims that cannot be grounded in official or established data. If the numbers don't exist in a form we can verify and cite, we won't publish a brief on it.
Response
We review every suggestion. We don't respond to all of them individually, but if you include your email and the topic makes it to a brief, we'll let you know.
